Questions

Could something be deleted by mistake?

No. Harrier Cleaner never deletes anything without your approval. Duplicate files, leftovers of removed programs and the originals of compressed photos go to the Recycle Bin first, so you can restore them if you change your mind.

Are my files sent anywhere?

No. Scanning and cleaning happen entirely on your computer; your file names, contents and photos are never sent anywhere. Details are in the privacy policy.

Why does Windows show a warning?

The app isn’t digitally signed yet, so Windows may say “Windows protected your PC” the first time. Choose “More info”, then “Run anyway”.

Why does it ask for administrator rights for some info?

Windows only shares some hardware details, such as disk temperature and wear, with administrator rights. If needed, you can restart the app as administrator from Settings; everything else works without it.

Is it paid? Are there ads?

No. Harrier Cleaner is completely free and ad-free.

When is the Android version coming?

It’s in the works. To hear when it’s out, press “Notify me” at the top of this page; you’ll get a single email.

How does it update?

When it starts, the app checks for a new version; if there is one, it lets you know and installs it in one click.
